Job Description

Work with cutting-edge applications that help advance the mission as a Test Engineer at GDIT. Your work will have you fully immersed in our client’s domain in order to deliver simple solutions for their complex needs. At GDIT, you’ll prioritize the client while we prioritize your career.  

At GDIT, people are our differentiator. As a Test Engineer supporting Federal contracts in the Technology Shared Services (TSS) group, you will be trusted to evaluate and support development of software, web, telephony, and virtual agent applications.

HOW THE TEST ENGINEER WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

Participate in Agile software development initiatives (standup, planning, grooming, estimation) to support innovation and enhancement of applications through iteration/functionality testingParticipate and collaborate with team members to assess Story Point / complexity efforts (using best practices) to ensure proper testing and delivery of functionality per User Story Acceptance CriteriaCollaborate with team members (Scrum Master, Product Owner, Software Developers) to develop test approaches with emphasis on automation of recurring/regression test cases through selected toolsetsDevelop and document end-to-end functionality test case narratives using task management system (ServiceNow Test Management /JIRA)Provide early exploratory testing during the development phaseDesign, code and deploy automated test scriptsMaintain test documentation, provide support to government test organization, evaluate test results, and provide feedback in a Continuous Integration Continuous Delivery Pipeline

​WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

BA/BS (or equivalent experience), 2+ years of experience or equivalent years of experienceServiceNow and/or Salesforce application testing experience is a mustServiceNow CSA certification or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire is requiredProficient in the different software testing methodologiesConceptual knowledge on agile integration.  Working as part of an agile team utilizing Scrum or KanbanQuality and detail focused ability to document test cases and findingsKnowledge of various SDLC methodologiesAbility to test application developed with commercial-off-the-shelf productsAbility to interact effectively with customers and stakeholdersAbility to work independently and as part of a larger teamAbility to manage multiple task assignmentsAbility to work in a complex, fast paced environmentSelf-motivated, quick learner with strong analytical and problem-solving skillsCollaborative team player who works well with customers and colleagues at all levelsPublic Trust required prior to startUS Citizenship required per contract

Role is remote with strong preference for candidates located in the DC, Maryland, Virginia (DMV) area.

PREFFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

1+ with Java / C#, JavaScript or equivalent Programming LanguageAutomation Testing Tools (such as Automated Test Frame (ATF), Selenium WebDriver) experience
