We are seeking a skilled and experienced Test Engineer to join our team to design and implement testing procedures for our software products supporting large-scale government programs. As a Test Engineer, you will work closely with our software development team to design and implement testing procedures for our software products to ensure quality, functionality, and purpose. This position includes up to 25% travel in and around the Maryland, Virginia, and DC area.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related field or applicable work experience.
- Secret security clearance.
- Seven years of experience as a Test Engineer, preferably in the government sector.
- Knowledge and familiarization of Software Quality Assurance Methodologies and various testing techniques.
- Hands-on experience with Quality Management Systems (QMS).
- Knowledge of quality standards and regulations.
- Analytical mindset and superior troubleshooting skills.
- Understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
Responsibilities:
- Determine test parameters and implement tests to determine if software meets its purpose, identify shortfalls, and publish test results.
- Simplify testing processes, troubleshoot testing issues, and document test procedures.
- Analyze test results, detect issues, and track root causes.
- Recommend fixes and improvements.
- Document technical issues and solutions.
- Build automated testing systems for regular checks.
- Ensure software meets stakeholder and customer standards.
