Role description:

Arcadis’s Toronto office is searching for a Test Engineer to join its growing and dynamic web team. This individual will be responsible for performing web-based platform testing, test planning, execution for a number of products we develop at Arcadis.

Working with high-profile clients around the world, you will be part of a team delivering solutions that solve complex problems. You will work within a cross-functional team to deliver industry leading software that will be deployed to our clients all over the world. We’re looking for people with high levels of initiative and resourcefulness who take pride in what they do to be a driving force in continuous improvement.

We are looking for a talented Test Engineer to play a key role in the delivery of world class software systems to clients in North America and overseas.

Role accountabilities:

Execute and document test cases, scenarios, and results in alignment with project requirements. Perform Functional, UI, and API testing to validate application quality and usability. Use SQL to access and modify database configurations, search data, and validate backend functionalities, using basic queries like SELECT statements and JOIN operations. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand feature requirements and assist in early-stage testing and development. Track, log, and manage defects in Azure DevOps, ensuring clear documentation and communication with the development team. Develop and maintain test scripts, test plans, and test data for multiple clients. Use Postman or similar tools for API testing, validating endpoints, responses, and data integrity.

Qualifications & Experience:

You'll need to have: 2-4 years’ experience in software quality assurance. At least 2 years proven experience in API testing. At least 2 years proven experience working with Postman. At least 2 years hands-on experience writing basic SQL queries. High levels of initiative and resourcefulness/creative thinking. Experience in creating test plans, sign off documents, and test summary reports.

Would be great if you have:

University degree in Computer Science or related field. Experience in dynamic, agile development environment. Experience in accessibility testing.
