Position Description for Test Engineer

Atlas Tech is seeking a Test Engineer to support our Development efforts for a Microsoft Dynamics 365-based web application and data migration project. The Test Engineer will play a critical role in ensuring the application meets quality standards, functional requirements, and security specifications. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a DoD environment, creating robust test plans, performing manual and automated testing for web applications and validating data migrations.

Pay Range: $135,000 to $155,000, depending on experience

You Will:

Develop, execute, and maintain detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts for web applications and data migration efforts. Perform manual and automated testing of front-end, back-end, and integrated systems to ensure functionality, usability, performance, and security. Perform regression testing to maintain the quality of developed applications Support data validation processes during migration from Oracle WebLogic and SharePoint to Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Microsoft Dataverse. Identify, document, and report defects using tools such as Azure DevOps, GitLab, or similar platforms. Collaborate with Full Stack Developers, Solutions Architects, and other engineers to validate requirements, troubleshoot issues, and ensure adherence to specifications. Conduct User Acceptance Testing (UAT) sessions and assist in creating UAT documentation for stakeholders. Provide input on automated testing frameworks for CI/CD pipelines in Azure environments. Verify the integration of OAuth credentials and ensure secure authentication processes across systems. Collaborate on performance testing and system benchmarking to identify and mitigate scalability issues. Participate in agile development sprints, providing regular testing updates and contributing to sprint retrospectives. Develop and maintain test documentation, including Test Summary Reports and Release Notes. Ensure adherence to Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) and DoD security compliance standards. Provide guidance and training to team members on testing methodologies, tools, and best practices

You Have:

U.S. Citizen with a current DoD Secret Clearance. Minimum of 5+ years of experience as a Test Engineer or QA Analyst. Experience testing full stack web applications in Microsoft platforms, particularly: Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Microsoft Dataverse. Azure cloud services, including Azure DevOps, Azure App Services, and Azure SQL. Proficiency in test automation tools such as Selenium, Katalon, or equivalent frameworks. Ability to work in a fast-paced, agile environment with shifting priorities. Hands-on experience with manual testing methodologies and tools for tracking defects (e.g., JIRA, GitLab). Familiarity with scripting and data validation using Python or similar programming languages. Strong understanding of agile testing processes, SDLC, and CI/CD pipelines. Knowledge of OAuth and cloud security compliance standards (e.g., STIGs). Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and collaboration skills. Ability to convey technical information effectively to non-technical stakeholders. Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM). Equivalent experience will be considered. Certifications: ISTQB, IAM II/IAT II, or relevant testing certifications. Experience in a DoD or government project environment. Familiarity with Microsoft Power Platform, SharePoint, and data migration projects. Experience supporting test-driven development (TDD) and Agile Scrum teams (Scrum Master experience a plus).
