Job Title: Test Engineer
Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Test Engineer to join our team. This role offers a flexible start date, but the position needs to be filled by the start of 2025. The selection process includes a team interview followed by an in-person interview. The Test Engineer will conduct tests on PV products, collaborate with the Engineering design team, and support manufacturing and reliability testing. This position requires a strong background in electrical engineering and extensive experience in test engineering.

ResponsibilitiesTest PV productsInterface with the Engineering design team to perform design verification testsWire test setups using equipment such as grid simulators, PV simulators, and data analyzersAssist in the development of test processes and proceduresConduct tests, analyze test data, and write test reports to document performance and support product complianceAssist in the upgrade and maintenance of lab equipmentSupport manufacturing and reliability in testing products and verifying second source componentsEssential SkillsDiploma/degree in Electronic/Electrical EngineeringAt least 5 years of test engineering experienceExperience performing tests at system, subassembly, and board levelExperience testing in an Engineering design environmentWorking knowledge of test equipment: DVMs, oscilloscopes, and power analyzersStrong written and verbal communication skillsStrong troubleshooting skills at system, subassembly, and board level5-8 years of electrical engineering experience with PCB and product development5+ years of electrical design experience with single line schematics, circuit diagram design, and component selection5+ years of experience creating test plans for products5+ years of experience with AC systems and electrical systems5+ years of experience with schematic design (review and layout)Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with test processes and safe work practices in high power AC/DC systemsExperience with AC/DC power converters such as Inverters and/or ChargersPower electronics backgroundExperience with environmental test chambers and associated tests (thermal, THB, etc.)Skill with mechanical hardware tools and equipment: drill press, milling machines, band-saws, etc.Knowledge of PCBA manufacturingProficiency in PCBA rework (soldering and desoldering thru-hole and SMT components)Power electronics design experience (AC Split phase)Solar experience and energy storage design experienceEMI/EMC digital design experienceWork Environment

The Test Engineer will work in a dynamic engineering design environment, utilizing various test equipment and tools. The role involves working with high power AC/DC systems and requires adherence to safe work practices. The work hours and shifts are flexible, and the laboratory is equipped with state-of-the-art technology and equipment. The dress code is business casual, and the team values a collaborative and innovative culture.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $38.00 - $45.00
