Job Summary: KBR is seeking a highly motivated Test Engineer to support the DoD International AIMS Program Office at Robins AFB, GA. This position involves working with a high operational tempo team focused on Identification Friend or Foe (IFF) certification efforts to ensure interoperability between DoD, NATO, and partner nation weapon systems. The Test Engineer will perform various engineering tasks related to IFF certification, including data collection, technical analysis, and communication with external program offices. The role requires travel to government and commercial sites for testing and data collection.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Perform engineering tasks related to IFF certification to establish and maintain interoperability of air, land, and sea weapon systems.Travel to government and commercial sites to witness bench, platform, and operational testing of weapon systems, collecting data points to evaluate performance against DoD technical standards and test requirements.Conduct technical data analysis of IFF systems and prepare comprehensive system-level evaluations, including the review and interpretation of supplementary test data (e.g., antenna patterns, EMI/EMC reports, Software Version Description documents, interrogation management schemes).Communicate with external program offices to collect required test data, coordinate test plans, evaluate test results, and determine if product design and/or integration meets DoD standards and performance expectations.Monitor the progress of assigned projects from initiation through certification, ensuring continuous communication with all stakeholders.Identify all failures, deviations, or discrepancies against technical standards and test requirements in a discrepancy report.Utilize technical writing abilities to prepare final certification packages, enabling government customers to make decisions on system suitability for certification.Monitor and manage the progress of multiple projects and continually update internal databases.Move, lift, and carry objects weighing up to 50 lbs.Travel out of the local area up to 25% of the calendar year if needed.Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field and 4 years of experience in lieu of formal education 8 years of experience with IFF systems and certification process with be requiredStrong technical writing and data analysis skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working with DoD, NATO, or partner nation weapon systems.Familiarity with DoD technical standards and test requirements.Excellent communication and project management skills.
