Emerson is currently seeking a Test Engineer (May be filled up to a Sr level) at the Emerson Innovation Center in Marshalltown, IA. As a Test Engineer you'll have the opportunity to use mechanical, technical, and leadership skills in a collaborative team environment to support new product development. As a Test Engineer You Will
Develop expertise in control valve and instrument test methods Provide technical feedback and direction to the design and evaluation of new product concepts, including conceptualization, design review, and testing of complex products Develop and execute test plans in cooperation with internal design teams and/or external customers Use software such as LabVIEW, FlexLogger, DIAdem, and MATLAB to gather and evaluate experimental data Prepare engineering reports, including analysis, conclusions, and recommendations Design, construct, and operate sophisticated test equipment Implement efficiency/continuous improvement projects Collaborate with other test engineers and technicians in an agile scheduling environment to efficiently complete projects Work with Simulations, Marketing, Design, Manufacturing, Sales, and Procurement groups as part of a multi-functional teamWho you are:

For This Role You Will Need (This role may be filled at a Higher Level based Candidate Qualifications): :
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, Nuclear Engineering, or related field Ability to apply fundamental knowledge of mathematics and physical sciences to real-world applications supporting the development of products, test equipment, test procedures, and measurement techniques Proven mechanical proficiency with hands-on mechanical experience Working knowledge of basic control theory, measurement theory, and material fabrication techniques Ability to manage different projects of varying length and complexity Demonstrated technical communication skills, both written and verbalPreferred Qualifications that Set You Apart
Previous exposure to testing or new product development Previous experience with data acquisition/analysis software such as LabVIEW or MATLAB is preferred#LI-LS4
