JOB SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for supporting all aspects of testing for hydraulic and electro-mechanical systems components.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Setting up running automated tests for electro-mechanical hydraulic actuation componentsLearning how to troubleshoot all aspects of our test systemsThese systems include multi-axis hydraulic loading systems, thermal control systems, motor controls and loading systems, and data acquisition systems.Maintain software and help maintain calibration on all test equipmentDevelop software for test automation and data acquisitionSupport outside lab testing such as vibration, altitude, humidity, icing, etc.Design and assemble data acquisition and control systems

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor’s Degree in:

o Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace Engineering or other related field

Minimum of 5 years engineering experience or relative aviation technical experience.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Familiarity preferred with software packages such as LabVIEW, MatLab Simulink, MathCadPreferred knowledge or experience with any of the following:Hydraulic Actuators – Internal Locking and Non-LockingHydraulic Valves, Reservoirs, Accumulators, PumpsHydraulic Power PacksLinear and Rotary Electro-mechanical actuatorsBall-screws, Roller Screws, ACME ScrewsGears, Splines and Planetary Gear SetsElectronic EnclosuresPreferred experience with the following:Regulatory requirements for qualifying and certifying componentsVibration modes and testing associated with similar components and systemsThermal considerations associated with similar components and systemsRequirements for tests such as: Fatigue; Endurance; Temperature; Limit and Ultimate Loads; Column Buckling; Operating pressures, Proof pressures, and/or Burst Pressures; Impulse Testing; Power and Load Test methods used to qualify these types of productsMotors and controlsDemonstrated technical and organizational leadershipDemonstrated ability to identify problems and provide solutionDemonstrated ability to work as a team player both internally and externallyStrong presentation skills Excellent analytical and math skillsExcellent communication skills, both written and verbalUnderstanding and experience utilizing Microsoft Office suite programs (Word, Excel, Access)High comfort level with learning and understanding new software programsAbility to manage time and work output while completing multiple projects/work assignments
