Job Summary

We are currently seeking a Test Engineer (Entry Level). This position located in Egg Harbor Township, NJ. 

 

Battelle’s Aviation Security Division provides research development test and evaluation services to the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Transportation Security Laboratory (TSL).  The qualified candidate for this position will support the Carry-on Baggage Readiness Test (RT) Support project for the TSL and perform the following activities:

Support the collection of vendor and RT data for new explosives on all operational systems, as well as new systems entering the RT processVerify that collected data images can be replayed on vendor-provided emulators and that there are no issues with the imageProcess previously archived RT image data on a system emulator configured with the vendor-provided detection algorithm and perform scoring of image dataAssist with the development of a new or modified test set and threat concealment/configurationKey Qualifications Successful completion of study from an accredited college or university leading to a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.Candidate should have strong oral and written communication skills.  Candidate should be highly motivated and self-starter with a strong desire to learn.Sole US Citizenship with eligibility and willingness to obtain and maintain a DOD Secret Security Clearance and to obtain DHS Suitability. Preferred Qualifications Mechanical Engineering degree preferred.SolidWorks CAD and 3D printing experience preferred.Computer data processing using programs such as MS Excel.Prior system test experiencePrior experience working for TSA or DHSActive DoD Secret security clearance
