Job Summary: 

Trane Technologies is hiring a Manufacturing Test Engineer in La Crosse, WI. This  role is responsible for technical support of processes related to the testing of HVAC centrifugal chillers. This includes sustaining engineering, new product launch processes and continuous improvement activities. The position is responsible for developing, implementing and maintaining production processes to drive quality and efficiency and to develop manufacturing plans which improve operations competitiveness.

Responsibilities:

Develop and define concepts and manufacturing processes for, and as an integral part of, all new product introductions and product enhancement programs, using advanced engineering techniques such as DFM / DFA (Design for Manufacturability and Assembly), FMEA, 3P (Production, Preparation Process), 7-Ways, and Lean Six Sigma MethodologyAssumes responsibility for Capital planning, CER creations and Approvals, Capital Project Timing and Implementation, Capital Spending and Budgeting/ Assumes responsibility for Plant VA/VE SavingsEnsures all equipment meets OSHA compliant safety regulationsDrives engineering principles and discipline through mentoring, training and project reviews including: PFMEA, Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), Dynamic Control Plans (DCP), Lean Tools, Project Management and Simultaneous EngineeringWorking with a cross functional team to manages, develop, and improve testing standards including machine capability, process maps, set-ups, quality controls, and systems

Qualifications:

BS Engineering or Engineering Technologies degree required3+ years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environmentKnowledge of basic design and manufacturing datum development and its effect in manufacturing processesUnderstanding of control system design and codingProject leadership and team building skills requiredPossess initiative to further develop technical skills, interpersonal skills and career pathStrong work ethic, great attitude, customer-focused, team-oriented and results driven

Base Pay Range:  $80,000-110,000
