Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is searching for Test Engineers and Principal Test Engineers to join the Global C2 Solutions Business Unit in support of our programs in Huntsville, AL. This position will support the IBCS Product Line Continuous Test Team and perform functional testing of software.
Job Duties:
Designs, develops, and implements testing methods and equipment. Plans and arranges the labor, schedules, and equipment required for testing and evaluating standard and special devices. Provides test area with parameters for sample testing and specifies tests to be performed. Compiles data and defines changes required in testing equipment, testing procedures, manufacturing processes, or new testing requirements. Responsible for testing all customer samples and for special tests that cannot be performed in the test area.
Basic Qualifications:
Engineer Test: 2 Years experience with Bachelor’s Degree, 0 Years with MastersPrincipal Engineer Test: 5 Years experience with Bachelor’s Degree, 3 Years with Masters, 0 years with PhDActive Secret Security ClearanceExperience in performing test planning, monitoring, test integration, software installs, and test executionExperience with automated testingExperience in Agile Development and Scrum Team environmentExperience creating technical documents, test plans/procedures, analyzing results and creating reportsExperience testing SW for performance and functionality based on requirement specification and ability to identify and document exact sequence of activities desiredPreferred Qualifications:
IBCS knowledge highly desiredExperience in Linux environmentWindows/Linux or Networking certification desired (i.e. Linux+, MSCE, CCNA)Security+ certification highly desiredDemonstrated skills performing moderately complex test related tasksSystem/Software/Hardware testing experiencePrior experience integrating Software and System componentsWorking knowledge and/or test experience with Army Air and Missile Defense SystemsSalary Range: $77,600.00 - $116,400.00Salary Range 2: $95,800.00 - $143,600.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
