We are looking for a Test Engineering Intern to join our team in one of today’s most exciting technologies.  This role will report to Director of  Development Enginering and based in Fremont, CA.  This is a fully on-site, in office role.

The Fuel Cell Test Engineering Intern is responsible for timely design and execution of test protocols on fuel cell stacks and components. The Test Engineering Intern is required to establish, promote and maintain excellent rapport with all internal customers, co-workers, and others as appropriate.  The Test Engineer is also required to maintain continuous communication with direct manager.

Job Responsibilities

Design specialized test hardware, fixtures and data acquisition equipmentCollect and analyze test dataPrepare and deliver presentations explaining results and conclusionsMake recommendations for improved test designsPerform in-process inspection of data and notify team of irregularitiesDebug mechanical, electrical and chemical problems with the test equipment


Essential Qualifications:

Must be a junior or senior graduating by Summer 2026.This internship program is from June to August 2025Matriculating in an Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical or Aerospace Engineering program, having completed at least three years of courseworkTakes direction wellStrong mechanical aptitudeStrong electrical aptitudeDemonstrated “hands on” troubleshooting skillsExperience or course work requiring use of lab electronics (i.e. multimeter, oscilloscope, breadboard circuits, etc.)Professional & collaborative – demonstrated ability to work closely within a teamAbility to communicate with all levels within the organization in a verbal and written manner - managers, co-workers, support services, electronic communications, et al.Organizational and planning skillsStrong sense of ownership and workmanshipComputer savvy - MS Office, Visio, SolidWorks is a plusProgramming experience is a plus (C, C++, LabVIEW, MATLAB, Visual Basic, etc.)  Exposure to electrochemistry, fuel cell, or battery technology is a plus
