Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is seeking a highly qualified, mission-oriented individual to lead test engineering teams. This Deputy System Test IPT Lead position is based out of Palmdale, CA and reports to the IPT Director Engineering 2.
The responsibilities for this job include but are not limited to:
Understanding of Flight Test, Laboratory Operations and Integration.
Provide leadership and direction for the Test and Evaluation IPT supporting development & sustainment contracts, serving as the integration interface between across engineering IPT’s
Lead a team of test engineers to in multiple work environments to drive efficiencies and testing with integration
Resolve integrated technical or operational problems, and meet established schedules
Develop and administer budgets, schedules, staffing plans, and performance standards.
Gather and report on performance metrics.
Risk, Issue, and Opportunity Management
Support the program office with process improvement, implementation, and opportunities.
Development of proposals and ECPs including evaluation of subcontractor proposals.
Conducting regular briefings to program, functional, and engineering leadership.
Build and maintain a culture that empowers employees, establishes personal and team accountability, motivates team performance, encourages development, and supports innovation
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
Must have a Bachelor's of Science degree in a STEM discipline and 9 years of relative experience OR a Master's of Science degree in a STEM discipline and 7 years of relative experience
Must have 5 years experience in a Lead or Manager role
Must have an active DoD Secret Clearance or higher (with a background investigation completed within the last 6 years or currently enrolled into Continuous Evaluation)
Must have ability to obtain and maintain Program Access (PAR) within a reasonable period, as determined by the company to meet its business needs.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Master’s Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math (STEM).
Active DoD Top Secret Clearance
Excellent leadership, motivational, and communications skills
Experience managing large budgets of both labor and material
Experience leading large teams
Salary Range: $187,000.00 - $280,600.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
