We currently have an opportunity for a Test and Evaluation Engineer, specialising in the Maritime domain. Join our Downer Professional Services team and play a key role in delivering complex defence and national security projects that safeguard Australia’s future.
What You’ll Do
This role offers a broad scope, with key responsibilities including:
Develop and execute test programs for combat systems. Represent the project at Interim Progress Reviews and Major Design Reviews. Provide technical expertise in reviewing plans, test documents, and engineering specifications. Support the Verification & Validation (V&V) Lead to ensure compliance with engineering standards. Assist with Test & Evaluation (T&E) preparation activities and transition to execution phases.What You’ll Bring
Bachelor of Engineering from an accredited institution. 5+ years' experience in Defence, maritime, or combat systems engineering. Strong understanding of EIA-632 systems engineering processes. Experience working with naval combat systems and associated integration challenges. Hold and maintain an minimum NV1 as required by the CommonwealthMore than anything, you’ll bring a strong work ethic, a positive attitude, and a commitment to delivering high-quality outcomes for our clients.
