The SEA Build and Test team is responsible for supporting the development of Dyson products by producing prototypes and performing verification & test activities related to both software and hardware for all product categories.

About the role

Supporting the coordination of test schedules to keep projects running efficiently and deliver results that drive product innovation.

Contributing to the analysis and reporting of test data, providing insights that shape the future of Dyson technology.

Assisting in resolving test issues and triage failures, ensuring problems are quickly addressed and learnings applied.

Collaborating with cross-function teams to align testing priorities with business objectives, accelerating product development.

Participating in continuous improvement activities, helping refine operations to boost speed, quality, and cost-effectiveness.

Preparing and reviewing test requests, proactively managing risks and ensuring readiness for each test milestone.

Adhering to and supporting development of best practice processes that safeguard Dyson’s high standards for quality and performance.

About you

Our graduate roles are competitive and delivering the next generation of Dyson technology is tough, so you will need to be: 

Working towards or have achieved a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Electrical engineering or equivalent.

Graduating by August 2025

Demonstrated experience using problem or failure analysis tools (e.g., Root Cause Analysis, FMEA) is required to effectively support triaging of issues and track progress of Problem Reports.

Basic knowledge of computer-aided design (CAD) or engineering drawing concept, facilitating your ability to review design specifications and understanding acceptance criteria related to testing and engineering design intent.

With basic data analysis and statistical skills, to accurately assess test results, qualify data integrity, and support the identification of trends or anomalies in performance testing.

Familiarity with experimental methods and common test equipment, which is crucial for supporting test setups, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring reliable test execution.

With experience in technical documentation, allowing you to help prepare reports, record test findings, and maintain traceable records for project teams.

Preferably with exposure to product development cycles, enabling a clear understanding of how verification and validation fit within broader engineering processes.

Strong organizational and time management skills are preferred to assist in test scheduling, ensure adherance to project timelines and manage multiple testing priorities concurrently.
