About the role This position is responsible for providing support for product development under Engineering management's general supervision. Responsibilities Perform environmental tests on electronic and electromechanical devices in accordance with UL, CSA, IEC and governmental standards Interpret test results, perform data analysis and create written reports Assist in the selection and procurement of supplies Assist in the construction of specialized test fixtures and equipment Provide interpretation of standards Test, maintain and evaluate equipment performance Local Essential Function (Intense Lighting, Anaheim CA): Assemble product samples for testing and evaluation as well as a modest amount of fabrication and or surface finishing as required for any components needed to build the product samples Qualifications Must have a working knowledge of instrumentation and wiring systems Must have a familiarity with UL, CSA, IEC and government standards and test procedures Must possess knowledge of general machine shop work Must have general knowledge of household and industrial electrical devices and wiring in accordance with the National Electric Code Must have familiarity with some of the following tests and equipment (school work experience acceptable): Digital Multi Meter, Volt, Amp, Watt Meters, Oscilloscope, Temperature/Humidity Cabinet, and Thermocouples and temperature testing Must have the ability to use Microsoft Office Suite for Windows Education & Experience Associate's Degree in Applied Science or Engineering or equivalent experience preferred 0 to 3 years hands-on experience is required; School labs may be sufficient What We Offer Comprehensive benefits include: Medical, dental, and vision insurance programs 401K plans with employer-matching contributions Tuition reimbursement PTO Paid holidays Volunteer time off For more information about benefits, please go to: https://careers.leviton.com/benefits Leviton is an EEO/AA Employer.
