Actalent is searching for a Test Architect for an exciting project in Ottawa, ON.

One of Actalent's premier clients is currently looking to add a qualified Test Lead to their rapidly expanding team. With the addition of a brand new cutting edge project, supported by the Canadian government over the next 10+ years, we are currently seeking long term consultants in order to fulfill the needs of this project. ResponsibilitiesDefine and execute both segment and end-to-end automation strategy for communication systems, ensuring robust test coverage across all components.Collaborate across teams and align stakeholders on a unified automation vision and roadmap.Establish, lead, and drive Continuous Test best practices as a critical enabler for CI/CD and trunk-based development.Champion the development and execution of test plans, frameworks, and tools to validate complex software and hardware solutions.Leverage expertise in networking to simulate, test, and troubleshoot network performance under diverse conditions.Lead data-driven decision-making processes to assess test coverage, performance metrics, and overall product quality.Deploy automation solutions leveraging technologies like Python, Ansible, and containerization platforms (Docker, Kubernetes, etc.).Design and implement test strategies across Linux distributions (Debian, Ubuntu), and different hardware platforms.Collaborate to enhance DevOps pipelines for deployment to hardware environments.Contribute to GitLab-based workflows for version control, CI pipelines, and project management as needed.Essential Skills10+ years of software test experienceTest Architecture (leading/guiding test strategies) for test Automation (frameworks)Deep experience with automation frameworks (Python, PyTest, Ansible).Experience working with embedded systems, preferably in a Linux environmentWork Environment

This role is 4x a week on-site in Ottawa, ON.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $65.00 - $75.00/hr.
