Job description
Infosys is seeking a Test Lead with experience in Retail Domain and Point of Sale ( Micros/Xstore etc.) As a QA Test Lead, you will act as a validation and quality assurance expert and review the functionality of existing systems. You will conduct requirement analysis, define test strategy & design and lead execution to guarantee superior outcomes. You will also be required to design an optimal test environment to simulate real-time scenarios. Required Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.At least 4 years of Information Technology experienceCandidates authorized to work for any employer in the United States without employer-based visa sponsorship are welcome to apply. Preferred Qualifications:8+ years of experience in software quality assurance, with a strong focus on ecommerce and point of sale testing.Experience in working with POS applications from products such as NCR, Verifone etc..Experience in ePOS is plus.Proven experience leading and managing QA teams.Strong technical skills, including knowledge of testing methodologies, tools, and automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, TestNG).Experience with agile development methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban).Experience in Data base testing.Experience in leading and managing the offshore teamsExcellent problem-solving and analytical skills.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Test Strategy and Planning:
Develop and execute comprehensive test strategies and plans, including test case design, test data preparation, and test execution.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (development, product management, business analysts) to understand requirements and translate them into effective test plans.
Test Execution and Management:
Lead and manage a team of QA engineers to ensure timely and efficient test execution.
Monitor test progress, identify and resolve issues, and report on test status and metrics.
Perform manual and automated testing, including functional, regression, integration, performance, and security testing.
Defect Tracking and Management:
Track and manage defects, ensuring timely resolution and verification.
Prioritize defects based on severity and impact, and work with development teams to address issues.
Automation:
Drive automation efforts to improve test efficiency and coverage.
Collaborate with the automation team to develop and maintain automated test scripts.
Risk Management:
Identify and mitigate potential risks to the quality of the product.
Implement risk-based testing strategies to ensure the highest quality.
Client Communication:
Effectively communicate with clients and stakeholders to provide updates, address concerns, and ensure alignment on testing activities.
Build strong relationships with clients and internal teams to foster collaboration and trust.
The job entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time.
