Axient is seeking a Test Manager to support our customer in Albuquerque, NM.
What you will do... In general, the Test Manager will provide direct technical expertise support to the Air Force Nuclear Weapon Center (AFNWC) NDW organization for the Weapon Storage and Security System (WS3), Vault Management Program (VMP), and Disablement Management System (DMS) Mod programsBe responsible for overseeing the test related aspects of this contract and shall have demonstrated test expertise Support the development of test plan/metrics/parameters and interpret analysis and results while identifying necessary changes or modifications to test and evaluation programsPerform materials characterization, non-destructive testing, and special environmental testing to reduce the risk associated with transitioning new design solutions into applicationReview and provide technical recommendations to program test documentation. Skills you will need... Possess a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, or a minimum of 7 years of experience in testingKnowledge of the nuclear enterprise mission, programs, procedures and environment is a plusWorking knowledge of the DoD Acquisition process and procedures is a plusProficiency in the use of MS office applications, i.e., MS Word, Powerpoint and ExcelExcellent verbal communication, written and quantitative analytical skills, including technical writing skillsAbility to work in a team environmentExperience leading teams and collaborating with key partnersAbility to travel up to 20% of the time, some overseas, must have a current passportMust be able to obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearance and handle and safeguard sensitive and classified information in accordance with regulationsUS citizenship is requiredMust meet applicable COVID safety requirements and protocols
