Manufactures and maintains inventory of drilled test plates for use throughout manufacturing.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:  Include the following.  Other duties may be assigned.

Reads and interprets documents (blue prints, drawing, or manufacturing work orders), to ascertain what tools and materials are necessary for producing test plates per specification.

Sets up and operates a drill press to drill holes in aluminum and/or steel plates per specification.  Selects mounts and aligns tooling attachments and materials in proper order and relationship.  Makes all adjustments necessary to produce test plates of acceptable quality.

Uses measuring devices, such as, micrometers, calipers and various other inspection gauges to ensure test plate specifications are achieved.

Reworks test plates as needed.

Collects used test plates and stores by size and material type for future use.

Maintains inventory levels as directed by company requirements.

Meets and maintains all productivity levels and quality requirements to support departmental goals and schedules.

Performs minor preventative maintenance on assigned drill presses.

Performs record keeping, data entry, housekeeping, and follows safety regulations.
