Are you ready to make your next career move to join our team as a Test Specialist in Torreón, Coahuila?

As our new Test Specialist, you will be planning and conducting tests in a specific area of responsibility. Also, ensure that the best testing methods, testing practices and tools are in use in their designated technology area.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Test planning and execution
•    Responsible for defining testing methods and/or participate in the development of testing methods together with project team.
•    Responsible for setting the test environment based on the understanding the underlying technology
•    Responsible for developing test plans and test cases based on related requirements.
•    Responsible for performing the test with safety. Analyzes tests and results, provides guidance with improvements ideas and corrective actions.
•    Accountable for delivering the testing and results in the agreed schedule.

Test Effectiveness 
•    Responsible for reviewing the requirements and ensuring that they are testable on both functional and non-functional aspects.
•    Responsible for continuously improving the test methods and test cases for higher effectiveness
•    Responsible for maintaining the test cases to ensure their continued effectiveness

Quality and Reliability focus
•    Responsible and/or accountable for setting appropriate test targets (e.g., coverage levels, types of testing) to ensure thorough evaluation of quality and reliability, through the lifetime of the product/service. 
•    Responsible for providing accurate inputs to other processes such as quality mgmt., release mgmt. and DevOps processes, to ensure product/service quality and reliability levels are understood and used for decision making. 
•    Responsible for troubleshooting field issues and supporting the development teams in quick resolution of the same.

Collaboration
•    Responsible for collaborating with other stakeholders such as developers, integrators, and product owners to ensure agile and built-in-quality practices.
•    Coaches the engineers, developers, and other team members to promote practices such as testability and shift-left mindset.

Team Development / nurturing
•    Assists and mentors the other members of the team in test methods, environments, efficient ways of test execution

Safety Focus
•    Responsible for test environment for elevator and simulator operational safety inspections and compliance with safety regulations

HIRING REQUIREMENTS:

Degree in mechatronics or a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering with mechanical work experience.At least 5 years of hands-on electrical troubleshooting and mechanical assembly experience.Electrical and mechanical testing skills and knowledge are required.Ability to communicate in English and Spanish (English will be tested)Experience in hardware testing, troubleshooting, and performing failure analysis.Experience with mechanical hand tools and a variety of test instruments (multimeter, oscilloscope, data acquisition, clamp ammeters, etc.)Experience in reading and understanding wiring diagrams, schematics and mechanical drawings.Programming skills (Python, PLC) are preferred.Experience working with high voltages, motors and drives is an added advantage.
