Job Summary:
We are seeking a Test Engineering Technician to perform preventive and predictive maintenance on manual and automated test systems. This role involves repairing, installing, and troubleshooting test equipment, implementing engineering changes, and maintaining inventory records. The technician will also use diagnostic tools to troubleshoot electronic units at the sub-assembly and component level.
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on manual and automated test equipment.
* Repair test equipment to ensure continuous operational functionality.
* Install and conduct checkout procedures for new test equipment.
* Maintain inventory records and manage test equipment availability.
* Troubleshoot test equipment failures and diagnose root causes.
* Implement engineering changes, modifications, and upgrades to test equipment.
* Utilize diagnostic tools to troubleshoot electronic units down to the component level.
* Read and interpret technical data, including maintenance manuals, engineering prints, and schematics.
* Communicate work status and findings to team members and support staff through shift pass downs and engineering updates.
* Understand and complete calibration requirements as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
* Associate degree or Bachelor"s degree preferred.
* 3-8+ years of relevant experience depending on degree.
* Due to the nature of the work US Citizenship is required.
Preferred Qualifications & Skills:
* Degree in electrical engineering field.
* Hands-on experience with diagnostic tools and troubleshooting at the component level.
* Familiarity with automated test systems and maintenance best practices.
* Work experience in aerospace or defense sectors.
