We are seeking a dedicated Test Technician to join our team in a 2nd shift position. This role involves working under general supervision to perform set-up and tear-down activities of large water-cooled chillers in an engineering laboratory. The position requires you to operate, inspect, and maintain test setups and equipment, providing technical support to engineers and collaborating on various engineering tasks.
ResponsibilitiesConnect and troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and refrigeration systems on manufactured equipment.Operate, inspect, and maintain test setups to detect malfunctions.Support engineering testing of chillers under moderate supervision.Perform basic to moderately complex technical tasks contributing to engineering projects.Collaborate with support staff to confer with engineers on test procedures and results.Perform tests for R&D and certification, ensuring each unit is tested before dispatch.Essential SkillsHigh School Diploma or GED.Strong mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting experience.3+ years of experience with hand/pneumatic tools.Ability to move/lift weights up to 35 lbs.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with HVAC or other large commercial equipment.Associates Degree or Trade Technical/Business School Certificate preferred.Experience with instrumentation setup, troubleshooting, and calibration.Familiarity with forklift and overhead crane operation.Proficiency in reading and interpreting complex drawings, schematics, and blueprints.Refrigerant certification preferred.Work Environment
Work in a dynamic environment featuring very large systems that fit on the back of a tractor-trailer. The position is based in 5 test labs where complex industrial systems are tested, including mechanical, electrical, and HW/SW smart systems. The facility supports R&D and manufacturing onsite, providing a stimulating setting for professional growth. This opening is for 2nd shift only, from 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM, Monday to Friday.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $22.00 - $24.00/hr.
