Job Title: Chemistry/Reagent Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Chemistry/Reagent Technician to conduct R&D testing of biosensors in a wet lab environment. The ideal candidate will perform preventive maintenance on testing equipment, prepare solutions according to material specifications, and process data in Excel spreadsheets. You will provide feedback on testing procedures, record accurate measurements and data, and maintain a clean laboratory environment. Additionally, you will follow safe handling and disposal procedures for laboratory chemicals and develop good laboratory practices.

ResponsibilitiesConduct R&D testing of biosensors using potentiostats.Perform preventive maintenance on testing equipment.Prepare solutions according to material specifications.Process data using Excel spreadsheets.Provide feedback on testing procedures and suggest improvements.Record accurate measurements and data on MPIs and reports.Maintain a clean and organized laboratory environment.Develop and follow good laboratory practices.Accurately use laboratory equipment such as scales, graduated cylinders, syringes, and pipettes.Follow procedures for the safe handling and disposal of laboratory chemicals.Essential SkillsExperience in wet chemistry and pipetting.Good laboratory practices and solution preparation.Ability to follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).Proficiency in handling scales and laboratory chemicals.Experience with potentiostats and biosensors.Data processing skills in Excel spreadsheets.Background in chemical manufacturing, processing, and testing.Additional Skills & Qualifications1-3 years of industry experience (no new graduates).Reagent experience and familiarity with SOPs.Fine motor skills for handling small items using tweezers.Problem-solving abilities and capability to work independently.Attention to detail.Experience with solution preparation and following protocols.Ability to work on feet for the majority of the day.Comfortable with rotating tasks based on need.Flexibility in scheduling for longer run times of experiments.Work Environment

This position is based in a wet lab environment. The lab operates with a small team of fewer than 20 people, offering significant growth opportunities. The role requires the ability to work on your feet for most of the day and flexibility in scheduling. The lab promotes a clean and safe working environment, adhering to strict safety protocols for handling and disposing of chemicals.
