Test Technician

As Test Technician in the Test & Analysis Department, you will work closely in a team with two other test technicians, three test engineers and three calculation/simulation engineers. You will collaborate closely with R&D Engineers and Technicians from the Seat, Chassis, Electronics and Customization Departments in the development of market-leading advanced Power Wheelchairs. You will work “hands-on” in our new multi-million test facility in Sundsvall, featuring state-of-the-art stability test equipment, data acquisition equipment, test track and EMC chamber. Your primary responsibilities will include testing and documenting both components and complete Power Wheelchairs. Through your testing and feedback, you will contribute to the development of new products, as well as the improvement and maintenance of existing ones, all with a user-centered mindset. In this role, you will also be instrumental in ensuring that our products meet technical requirements, adhering to both internal and external regulations, ensuring the safety of our users with the expected high level of quality from a premium brand. Key Responsibilities + Prepare test objects and test equipment for testing. + Define and build test rigs in our mechanical workshop when required. + Perform and monitor tests according to agreed specification. + Document test results in written technical reports. + Pinpoint and subsequently handle potential improvements in test processes and methods. + Maintain test equipment in good working order, including relevant documentation. Skills and Qualifications + Technical College (Högskola) degree in engineering, or equivalent work-experience.  + Preferably a few years of working experience in a testing environment with data acquisition systems and data analysis. + Good knowledge and understanding of workshop and assembly skills (welding, lathing, milling, etc). + Good knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel. + General knowledge of development processes, particularly related to testing and verification. + Strong communication skills in both written and spoken Swedish and English (minimum C1) since test results are documented in technical reports written in English. + Experience in the medical device industry or automotive industry is a plus, as well as experience testing electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) and using CAD programs.
