Job Title: Test Technician

Job Description

The focus area will be products in the Fluid & Power group. These are mostly mechanical in nature, including hydraulics, fluid systems, motors, actuated valves and ball screws, pressure sensors, seals, and temperature expansion issues.

ResponsibilitiesTake completed assemblies and determine why they can't pass certain test criteria, identifying the root cause.Use hydraulic test stands to tweak variables like flow and pressure to isolate issues.Review test results and break down processes to identify error points and points of failure.Disassemble products and methodically test various parts of the assembly, such as check valves and fluid pressure.Pay attention to detail, as some assemblies have over 50 parts in the Bill of Materials (BOM).Essential SkillsMechanical experience with hydraulics, fluid mechanics, and fluid systems.Proficiency in pressure testing and troubleshooting using test equipment.Experience with fuel systems, drawing and BOM interpretation.Hands-on experience from a test lab or manufacturing R&D setting.Experience with hydraulics, fuel systems, fluid systems, valves, and actuators.Ability to review prints, understand BOMs, and recommend design changes.Experience creating test reports and documenting failures.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with aerospace, electronics, LabView, and test engineering.Work Environment

70% of the role will be in a hands-on test lab environment. The other 30% will be spent at a desk reviewing drawings, BOMs, and test results. This is a great opportunity for someone interested in contract work, with the possibility of extension beyond the initial three-month period.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $40.00/hr.
