We have an outstanding Contract position for aTest Technicianto join a leading Company located in theTorrance, CAsurrounding area. Pay Range: $31.87 - $39.23 This is an exciting role for an innovative, high-growth defense technology company. The ideal candidate for the position is someone with experience in product development, manufacturing, electronics, and mechanical assembly. The role is critical to the success of our hardware and will be responsible for RF circuit board testing. This position will also be flexible and support electro-mechanical assembly and harness building as required. Responsibilities : + Understands, plans, and executes testing and troubleshooting activities to produce a prototype, MIL-STD understanding desired + Assembles LRU and element array with direction from Engineers + Utilizes standard laboratory test equipment, including: oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, voltmeters, and other measurement equipment to perform engineering support functions + Troubleshoots equipment using standard documentation packages including assembly drawings and schematics + Works with various levels of the system (from the board and component level to the LRU, to the system level) to identify and resolve performance problems Basic Hiring Criteria : + Associate's Degree in a technical field or equivalent trade school or military training + 5 years of related experience + Experience with electro-mechanical assembly + Test Experience--RF preferred but not required + Testing and troubleshooting skills with the capability of defining and configuring standard and special test equipment to perform tests at the circuit card, LRU, or system level + Ability to work with standard laboratory test equipment + Knowledge of Environmental, Health, and Safety elements, especially related to RF testing + Good written and oral communication skills + Collaborative; capable of working across all levels of the organization + US Citizen and/or Permanent Resident (future security clearance may be required) Desired Qualifications : + Soldering certification and experience soldering cables and harnesses (circuit boards come pre-assembled) + JStandard certification + IPC610 certification + IPC620 certification + Aerospace/Defense experience and/or military experience + Knowledge of Production Systems and Lean Manufacturing elements + Experience with ISO9001/AS9100 quality management systems elements + Experience with Python executables This position requires access to technologies and hardware subject to US national security-based export control requirements.
