We have an outstanding Contract position for a Test Technician to join a leading Company located in the Torrance, CA surrounding area.
Pay Range: $31.87 - $39.23
This is an exciting role for an innovative, high-growth defense technology company. The ideal candidate for the position is someone with experience in product development, manufacturing, electronics, and mechanical assembly. The role is critical to the success of our hardware and will be responsible for RF circuit board testing. This position will also be flexible and support electro-mechanical assembly and harness building as required.
Responsibilities:Understands, plans, and executes testing and troubleshooting activities to produce a prototype, MIL-STD understanding desiredAssembles LRU and element array with direction from EngineersUtilizes standard laboratory test equipment, including: oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, voltmeters, and other measurement equipment to perform engineering support functionsTroubleshoots equipment using standard documentation packages including assembly drawings and schematicsWorks with various levels of the system (from the board and component level to the LRU, to the system level) to identify and resolve performance problems
Basic Hiring Criteria:Associate's Degree in a technical field or equivalent trade school or military training5 years of related experienceExperience with electro-mechanical assemblyTest Experience--RF preferred but not requiredTesting and troubleshooting skills with the capability of defining and configuring standard and special test equipment to perform tests at the circuit card, LRU, or system levelAbility to work with standard laboratory test equipmentKnowledge of Environmental, Health, and Safety elements, especially related to RF testingGood written and oral communication skillsCollaborative; capable of working across all levels of the organizationUS Citizen and/or Permanent Resident (future security clearance may be required)
Desired Qualifications:Soldering certification and experience soldering cables and harnesses (circuit boards come pre-assembled)JStandard certificationIPC610 certificationIPC620 certificationAerospace/Defense experience and/or military experienceKnowledge of Production Systems and Lean Manufacturing elementsExperience with ISO9001/AS9100 quality management systems elementsExperience with Python executables
