L3Harris in Brighton are part of Release Systems and the Mission Avionics sector operating in the Aerospace domain. As part of the RC-135 based Airseeker/Rivet Joint programme, we deliver strategic and tactical intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR) capability. What the role will involve

The responsibilities of your role will include the following:

Preparation and assembly of test rigs and fixturesFitment and verification of test measurement instrumentationOperation of dedicated test facilities to conduct product development and production acceptance tests to defined test procedures including:
- Weapon Release / Climatic / Pressure / Structural / VibrationLiaison with test engineering, design, and manufacturing departmentsRecording of test results and product handling using logbook systemUnderstanding and consideration of safety in the workplace at all times

What you’ll bring

The role requires the following experience and skills:

Relevant college qualification or suitable apprenticeship with experience of practical skillsUnderstanding of the principles of testingProven knowledge of mechanical assemblyProven practical skills and use of hand toolsMethods of assembly and selection of fixings Understanding of technical drawingsAbility to consistently follow operational instructionsAbility to learn product knowledge and apply troubleshooting through critical thinking
