POSITION OBJECTIVE:
Xerox Corp., an industry leader in Color Printing, is looking for a talented and passionate Test Technician to join our Printhead MFG team in Wilsonville, OR.
The Test Technician is responsible for operating and troubleshooting test equipment in the manufacture of cutting edge printheads. This may include operating test equipment with moving stages and working with high temperature test fluids (85C-95C). While many test processes are computer aided, the candidate should be able to work with small parts, monitor performance of equipment, and recognize potential issues.
The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, have a strong understanding and ability to follow test procedures, excellent problem solving skills and meticulous attention to detail. The Test Technician will need to be able to work independently and as part of a team to accomplish tasks in a dynamic work environment.
Common responsibilities for this position include:
· Fill and calibration of printheads prior to shipment· Perform visual inspections· Implement test procedures from engineering· Maintain test equipment· Troubleshoot and fix equipment issues· Communicate observations and problems to engineering· Perform other duties as assignedQualifications Desired
Education: Minimum of High School Diploma or equivalent, Associates Degree a plus
Experience:
· Minimum of 1 year in technician role· Hands on experience with test and measurement equipment a plusSkills:
· Ability to follow on-line procedures and/or written instructions · Effectively communicate with management, peers, and engineering· Comfortable speaking up when anomalies are observed· Demonstrate a high level of quality awareness and attention to detail· Ability to apply basic problem-solving skills· Ability to maintain a clean and safe working environment· Ability to flex between different roles within the lab as needed· Basic computer skills (launch applications in Windows environment, edit Excel spreadsheets, Outlook, etc...)· Proficient in English language-verbal, reading and writing skills· Demonstrate ability to lift 10 pounds repetitively; occasionally lift 30 pounds; rarely lift 50 pounds
WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
Most of the work performed by this position will be in a lab environment with ESD controls. Shift: Weekdays 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM or 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM
