At ISR (Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance) Systems, we are world leaders in high altitude electro-optical, infrared, multi-spectral imaging sensors and ground support systems, employed by the U.S. and foreign military in time critical intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance operations. The ISR Systems team is looking for a talented Test & Validation Engineer (P2), to support Integration & Test activities.

What You Will Do

Support mechanical, electrical assembly, and test.

Operate complex systems in lab and field environment.

30% required travel, both domestic & international, to world-wide field sites to maintain electro-optical, infrared, and multi-spectral imaging sensors.

Working in a team with experienced individuals willing to assist in the individuals development.

This 1st shift role will be 100% on-site and based in Westford, MA.

Qualifications You Must Have

Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of prior work experience.

Experience with Microsoft Office tools (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Experience working in a team environment.

Experience analyzing test data (i.e. formulating test reports, determining hardware specifications, etc.).  

The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications We Prefer

Active Secret security clearance.

Experience reading & interpreting schematic diagrams and technical descriptions of the systems.

Experience with avionic system maintenance.

Experience working in a team environment within the defense industry.

Experience using general and specialized test equipment to check-out and troubleshoot systems.

Experience with Linux / Unix software and/or programming languages.

Hands-on mechanical skillset.

Ability to adjust to changes in plans, design specifications, and/or unforeseen circumstances in dynamic engineering projects.

The salary range for this role is 66,000 USD - 130,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
