Job Title: Test Automation Engineer

Location: Trivendrum

Position Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Test Automation Engineer with 4 to 8 years of overall testing experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in test automation using Selenium or Katalon, experience with test automation frameworks such as TestNG and Cucumber, and a solid background in managing test activities for medium to large projects. The candidate should also possess strong interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with clients, business partners, and team members.

Key Responsibilities:

- Test Automation: Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium or Katalon. Ensure the efficiency and reliability of automated tests.

- Frameworks: Utilize and enhance test automation frameworks such as TestNG and Cucumber to support comprehensive testing efforts.

- Project Management: Manage test activities across medium to large projects, including planning, execution, and reporting.

- Interpersonal Skills: Demonstrate effective interpersonal skills to build and maintain working relationships with clients, business partners, and team members.

- Tool Proficiency: Stay updated with the latest software testing tools, techniques, and market trends.

- Requirements Review: Review user and functional requirements, providing constructive feedback. Develop and refine test scripts and traceability.

- Test Execution: Participate in test execution, monitor progress, and report on testing outcomes.

- Team Collaboration: Proactively engage with developers, business users, and business analysts to ensure thorough and effective testing.

- Script Development: Write, review, and execute formal test scripts, including setup, data requirements, procedures, and expected results.

- Documentation: Provide direct input to project estimates and documentation, including Project Plan documents, URS, FRS, and Design documents.

- Requirement Analysis: Review project requirements, plans, and prototypes, and provide input to improve overall project quality.

- Agile/Scrum: Participate in Agile/Scrum processes, contributing to sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.

Qualifications:

- Experience: 4 to 8 years of overall experience in software testing with a strong focus on test automation.

- Automation Tools: Proficiency with Selenium or Katalon. Knowledge of Katalon is preferable.

- Frameworks: Experience with TestNG and Cucumber frameworks.

- Project Management: Proven ability to manage testing activities for medium to large projects.

- Interpersonal Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with clients, business partners, and team members.

- Tools and Techniques: Familiarity with various software testing tools, techniques, and market trends.

- Documentation: Ability to review and provide feedback on project requirements, plans, and prototypes.

- Agile/Scrum: Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

- Domain Knowledge: Clinical domain knowledge is preferable but not required.

Education:

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
