Applied R&D (AR) consists of target-oriented research either with the goal of solving a particular problem / answering a specific question or for multi-discipline design, development, and implementation of hardware, software, and systems including maintenance support. Supplies techno-economic consulting to clients. AR work is characterised by its detailed and complex nature in order to systematically combine existing knowledge and practices to further developing and incrementally improving products, operational processes, and customer-specific feature development.

Team

MN RAN RD BBSoC PSW Integration CI Int  is in charge of testing new hardware platforms for 4G
& 5G products and new features. The team tests SW increments based on these new HW, as well as HW increments up to A101 versions.
Also, the team tests in blackbox and/or whitebox mode at different levels of the platform, measuring platform performance, assessing platform robustness and stability, injecting fault.
Part of the scenarios are transferred to component teams for maintenance testing.
The tester will be in charge of investigating issues and bringing its expertise to other team members. Other tasks may include communication and demonstration to the team but also during events.
The team has a transversal scope across all SW platform domains (Linux/LFS, CCS, MCUHWAPI, UPHWAPI) and
outside of platform (DSP, Transport) based on new BB hardware introduction.

 

 

Knowledge & Experience

- Programming languages : C
- Scripting languages / Python / Robot programming
- Linux/Unix / Posix environments
- Familiar with embedded systems
- Protocols (Ethernet, ip v4/v6)
- English & French language

Nice to have: - ISTQB certification
- Familiar with both feature testing and system testing

Soft skills : communication, curiosity, autonomy, team spirit

 5 years directly related experience and a graduate degree (engineer or equivalent).
 

Your mission, tasks and duties as tester in this organization includes :

• creating test strategy documentation for features in charge, preparing test plans from specifications and requirements,
• developping functional & non-functional tests using C/C++, automating tests using python/robot
• lab manipulations
• creating bug issue report when issues are encountered and following until the resolution including fix validation
• migrating tests in daily CI activity (automation in Jenkins & support when failure)
• reporting feature status to Scrum master / Team to share results, prioritize and help taking decision when needed (including performance KPIs when applicable)

• active participation to quality process like features groomings
