We are currently looking for:
NDT Inspection Team Leader (m/f)
Location: Filton, Bristol
Contract: Full time, 37.5 hours per weekDuties:Inspection Team LeaderTake responsibility for internal and external audits (Nadcap, business line Quality specific)Work closely with the business development/ sales and marketing team to support with customer requestsIncorporate Testia Policies and ProceduresEstablish goals and objectives for the team running annual appraisalsMake sure that the business line has adequately qualified staff, equipment, facilities and other resources to accomplish its goals including managing Inspection team rotas around customer workload/ holiday requestsApprove weekly timesheets each month & any pay enhancementsCreate harmonious working environment, train and mentor staff and motivate all team members to perform efficiently.Support recruitment – Review CVs, choose applicants to interview, attend interviews, choose the correct candidate to make the offer in line with HRConfirm each of your employee’s attendance, performance, conduct and suitability for continued employment at the end of their probation period.Tracking and reporting of business line KPI’sNDT inspectorMaintain obtained skills and certifications and acquire new onesWork on requirements provided by management whenever called uponPlan, evaluate and carry out non-destructive material testing (NDT) for national and international customersCarry out tests in the areas of magnetic particle testing, dye penetrant testing, visual inspection, x-ray testing, ultrasonic testing and eddy current testingDocument test results in writing in accordance with local and global company proceduresCarry out standardised tests on a wide variety of materialsRequirements to travel nationally and internationally as and when the business requiresP145 Maintenance Manager Report to the Accountable Manager whenever deficiencies emerge, that require their attention in respect of finance and the acceptability of standards.Control of the organisation's procedures..Control of the workforce for their quality of workmanship is to a standard acceptable to the organisation and the CAA.Ensuring the competence of all personnel engaged in maintenance.Keeping a record of all training and experience of maintenance-related personnel.Responsible for the implementation of the safety policy and human factor issues.Responding to quality deficienciesOur requirements:Qualification/ certification in accordance with EN4179 in the methods of: RT, UT, MT, PT & ETDocumented experience hours for all NDT methods heldDocumented Aerospace / Aircraft work experience hoursIn-service / manufacturing inspection backgroundExperience in the inspection of metallic and composite componentsDriving licence class B and willingness to travel (mainly national)Fluent in English, both written and spokenIndependent and structure way of workingAbility to work in a team, resilience, flexibilityBenefitsFlexible working hours (flexi-time)25 days holidays + bank holidays with the option to purchase up to an additional 1 weekPension schemeDiscretionary bonus schemeContract:
