Job Description
Under general supervision, the Test Administrator maintains, administers, scores, and profiles the results of standard psychometric instruments. This is a part-time position.
Responsibilities:
+ Administers computer-based and paper and pencil exams while following established procedures.
+ Schedules group and individual tests to include arranging time, place, personnel, and materials for testing.
+ Explains testing procedures and policies to those requesting testing services.
+ Makes tests available.
+ Assists the Testing Center with Saturday proctoring.
+ Collects and deposits testing fees.
+ Observes test taking behavior and records any behavior which might affect test outcomes.
+ Scores tests.
+ Maintains a comprehensive test file controlled for security purposes.
+ Assures adequate inventory of test instruments.
+ Orders testing supplies.
+ Manages the secure storage and handling of testing materials and confidential information.
+ Develops procedures to implement testing policies.
+ Maintains the accurate logs and records of testing activities.
+ Prepares profile sheets and/or report forms.
+ Prepares and files tests folders under secure conditions.
+ Assists in collection and analysis of data research.
+ Performs basic clerical tasks such as: updating spreadsheets and schedules; organizing exams; maintaining testing files and records; and answering phone calls.
+ Disseminates information via in-person, phone, and email communication.
+ Trains and assists in the coordination of other staff to assist in the various duties as necessitated by service demands and scheduled or unscheduled absences.
+ Performs activities with a focus on outstanding customer service and respect for students.
+ Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Education and Experience:
+ Bachelor’s degree and some experience in teaching, training, counseling, or testing.
Preferred Education and Experience:
+ One (1) year of experience working in a testing center environment.
+ Experience working in higher education.
+ Experience working with Banner.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
+ Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications, Microsoft outlook, and internet usage.
+ Strong skills in troubleshooting, problem-solving, organization, and attention to detail.
+ Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced office environment.
+ Ability to work independently and as a team, understand and interpret instructions, and uphold high levels of professionalism and student confidentiality.
+ This position requires a high level of integrity and personal responsibility.
+ This position is contingent on the employee's ability to be eligible to administer all exams within the Testing Center.
