Working under the direction of the Testing Supervisor, Testing Assistants will help in many aspects of the Professional Testing Center, for undergraduate and graduate admissions testing, professional school admissions testing, and many licensure and certification exams. Assist with computer-based testing in the planning, calendaring, security, administration, and scoring of multiple programs. Will train, certify, and re-certify annually for endorsement to proctor with various test companies. May help with outreach both on and off-campus to determine potential professional testing needs and expand test offerings for USU students, future students, and the public. Will assist with various other office tasks as required.
Responsibilities Assist Testing Supervisor in many aspects of testing programs and office managementHelp to coordinate and mesh calendars of multiple computer-based test programs, including opening calendars in advance and guarding against over-booking and test-type conflictsTrain and certify by examination for multiple professional test programs which have this as a requirement (ETS, Prometric, PAN, etc.), and re-certify annually in eachProctor and continuously monitor active test sessions and guard against examinee misconductEnsure test security before, during, and after all exam administrationsAssist in the management of test registration and payment program, RegisterBlast, and help to keep testing and historical records correct and current, including annual volume reportingAssist with maintaining and updating Professional Testing Center websiteInteract and communicate frequently with test candidates, test companies and vendors, and campus and high school communities by phone, email, chat, and in personBe aware of all FERPA, privacy, and test company confidentiality laws and guidelines, and abide by them at all timesHelp with various office task such as deposits, purchasing and maintaining supplies, cleaning, copying, scanning, etc. QualificationsMinimum Qualifications:
Excellent verbal and written communication skillsOffice experience in an educational setting or comparable experience in the private sectorHigh level of personal integrityExcellent computer and internet skillsProficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint)Preferred Qualifications:
Graduate studentTwo years of directly related experience in testing, teaching, counseling, etc., or an Associate’s Degree in a related fieldKnowledge of university policies and proceduresExperience with university systems (Banner, Canvas, Service Now, etc.)Direct experience in another professional or higher education testing centerSkill with computers in installation, maintenance, troubleshooting and networkingKnowledge, Skills, and Abilitites:
