The Testing Engineer will report to Operations within Prysmian Transmission business unit (Former Prysmian Powerlink).

Job Overview

The Testing Engineer will support the engineering team with the definition of the testing protocol, create the detail plan of work of the qualification, align the stakeholders with the defined plan ensuring their readiness, follow the qualification process, predict and/or solve eventual complications given by the complexity of the projects, collect data and activate optimization and/or development.

Have a deep and extensive knowledge of qualification laboratories and relative methods. Highlight possible improvement in processes and methods to align laboratories with the central R&D function. Evaluate possible modification within laboratories perimeter to improve the quality and timing of qualifications. Support other Testing Engineers with definition of loops under tests, technical/technological limits of labs and logistic constraint.

Qualifications

Master’s degree in Electrical engineering (preferred) or similar Engineering BackgroundGood level of English (written and spoken)Knowledge of basic working principles of testing equipment (transformers, inverters, impulse generator, etc.)Preferred experience with tests/laboratories/qualification process (minimum of 3 years)
