The Northern Virginia branch of Otis Elevator Company is searching for a highly motivated Testing & Inspection Coordinator.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Managing the process specifically related to the testing and violation tracking for the Northern Virginia areaIndividual will be responsible for coordinating over 4000 tests with multiple 3rd party jurisdictions in Virginia to ensure on time completion of all required tests.Work closely with the customers, local counties, testing companies/inspectors, service supervisors and other in office staff, as well as mechanicsEnsure timely testing and clearing of violations, manage the paperwork associated with the filing process & understand the Department of Buildings process - Goal is to ensure that testing is completed on time, violations are cleared on time to mitigate the potential fines related to late testing and clearingOther administrative tasks may be assigned on an as-needed basisEDUCATION / QUALIFICATIONS:
Prior experience working with the DOB preferred.Candidates must be able to work in a highly team-oriented and dynamic environment.Self-motivated individuals who have the ability to manage many simultaneous projects and responsibilities are a must.Strong organizational skills, communication skills and attention to detail.High school degree or equivalent experience requiredIf you live in a city, chances are we will give you a lift or play a role in keeping you moving every day.
