This position requires the ability to enforce, administer and teach the policies, procedures and systems necessary to consistently receive and process high quality textile products in the most efficient manner while supporting the demand from external customers and Knoll manufacturing lines in order to meet sales, on-time and cost objectives for both Cut and Applied Textile businesses.

High School Diploma required, BS/BA preferred, Textiles degree a plusEXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
3 -5 years’ experience in a technical textile disciplineTECHNICAL COMPETENCIES
Understanding of the textile manufacturing process from fiber to finished fabric.Strong verbal & written communicationMust be able to effectively articulate technical issues with internal and external customers as well as textile mills.Must pass the Farnsworth Munsell 100 Hue Test with a score of less than 75Ability to work in a team environment to coordinate materials, textiles & production groups in order to meet customer requirementsGood organizational skillsProficiency in Microsoft Office applicationsOracle EBS experience a plusTechnical textile support for internal manufacturing plants, Customer Service, Purchasing, Sales Coordinators and Sales Representatives.Coordinate, maintain and publish fabric physical testing to meet requirements of KnollTextiles and ACT (Association of Contract Textiles).Conduct fabric inspections for new fabrics in development through first production. Make independent decisions about color & dye lots, finishes, defects & characteristics and rejection process. Maintain color standards in conjunction with mill.Investigate and help resolve all claims and returns from internal and external customers.Assist and lend textile guidance to Quality Assurance Representative during fabric inspections.Perform textile training for Sales Representatives as needed.Team and collaborate with Design team.Visit suppliers to evaluate and monitor fabric quality as neededWho We Hire?
