What will you do?

We are looking for an experienced Design Manager to lead our design team in creating innovative and functional outerwear, sportswear and essentials products for our global outdoor brand. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the outdoors and a deep understanding of balancing style, functionality and performance with the latest trends in the industry.

Lead the design team in creating innovative, technical and functional performance and outerwear products that meet the needs of our consumers and athletes.You will ensure that product is consistent with consumer needs, business strategy and brand DNA.Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that all products are designed to meet the highest standards of expression, quality, performance, and sustainability.Manage the design process from concept to final product, ensuring that all products are delivered on time and within targets.Stay up-to-date with the latest trends in technology, style trends and the outdoor industry and Incorporate them into our product designs.Manage and mentor a team of designers, providing guidance, technical expertise and support to help them grow and develop their skills.

What do you need to succeed?

We all have unique skills that we bring to work and celebrate every day. For this role, there are foundational skills you’ll need to succeed and excel.

The skills you will need in this position are:

8+ years of experience in lifestyle, technical performance and outerwear design, with a proven track record of creating successful products.2+ years of supervisory experience with the ability to manage and motivate a team of designers.Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.Deep understanding of the performance and outdoor industry and the latest trends in outerwear  and sportswear design.Strong knowledge of materials, construction techniques, and manufacturing processes.Experience with Adobe Creative Suite and other design software.Knowledge in 3D is a plus.

Hiring Range:

$109,728.00 USD - $137,160.00 USD annually

Incentive Potential: This position is eligible for additional compensation awards that may include an annual incentive plan, sales incentive, or commission potential. Specific details of the additional compensation eligibility for this position will be provided during the recruiting and interview process.
