THEATER AEROSPACE OPERATIONS COMMAND AND CONTROL OFFICER (TITLE 32)
Summary THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION This National Guard position is for a THEATER AEROSPACE OPERATIONS COMMAND AND CONTROL OFFICER (TITLE 32), Position Description Number D1504PFL and is part of the FL HQ 101 AOG, National Guard. Responsibilities As a Theater Aerospace Operations Command and Control Officer, GS-2101-12, you will administer refresher and advanced training to ANG military AOC weapons systems positional specialists. Instruct rated pilots, navigators, air battle managers, space operations specialists, and other AOC assigned personnel in advanced aerospace operations applications using current AOC systems of record. Instruct and evaluate all AOC specialists to become instructors. Instruct such personnel to function within established joint doctrinal principles to plan and prosecute theater-level joint operations. Monitor progress during training and advises when AOC personnel are ready for positional certification. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications AREA OF CONSIDERATION: This position is in the Excepted Federal Civil Service "under the authority of 32 U.S.C. 709" and is open to Category 1: All permanent/indefinite (T32 and T5) technicians employed by the agency Category 3: All current military members of the Florida National Guard; and Category 4: All individuals who qualify for membership in the Florida National Guard and are willing to become T32 Dual Status technicians. First consideration will be given to Category 1. PCS: Permanent Change of Station (PCS) MAY be authorized. Authorization for payment of PCS expenses will be granted ONLY after determination is made that payment is in the best interest of the Florida National Guard. FLNG BUS Code 8888: This position is "excluded" and ineligible for labor organization representation. MILITARY GRADES: Officer; O1 thru O4. GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Must have experience, education, or training in following directives and regulations. Experience interpreting and applying published directives or regulations. Experience communicating with others. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: GS-12 Must have at least one year of specialized experiences at the GS-11 level or the equivalent which provides knowledge and/or experience education, or training routine and non-routine preflight, in-flight, post-flight, ground or command and control (C2) duties according to specific transportation functions. Receives, interprets, extracts, and disseminates relevant data for mission planning or execution. Experience coordinating and negotiating with organizations/personnel both orally and in writing to resolve differences/problems. RECRUITMENT INCENTIVE: May be paid to the candidate who is "newly appointed" into this federal government position. The bonus will NTE $7,000. Payment will be a lump sum payment at the beginning of employment. Candidate must agree in writing to remain in this position for a minimum of 12 months, and if they vacate that position for another technician, AGR or active-duty service position within the initial 12-month period, the Incentive may be recouped. Current onboard technicians, if selected, are not eligible for this bonus. Education If you are using Education to qualify for this position, you must provide transcripts or other documentation to support your Educational claims. To receive credit for Education, you must provide documentation of proof that you meet the Education requirements for this position.
