Reports To: Theatrical Services Manager

FLSA Status: Hourly, Non-Exempt

Compensation: Compensation is dependent on experience. The base rate for this position ranges from $26.50-$28.75/hour

General Summary:

This position supports Production Managers, Theatrical Services Manager, Arts & Venues operations, safety, and training and manages production purchase orders.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Scheduling input and review of Denver Arts Venues weekly crew schedules.

Review events in calendars and update TS website with any current activity.

Schedule and coordinate safety trainings, refresher training and certification courses.

Initiate safety and annual refresher training and meetings, coordinate venue safety walks and track / update JHA’s.

Prepare event equipment use and track hours for timely reports at event conclusion.

Oversee maintenance and/or certification scheduling for all rigging and safety concerns.

Facilitate with all TS ordering of equipment, permits, Purchase Orders. Coordinate with City Venue Operation staff as needed.

Assisting in maintaining all current forms and publications, including venue tech guides, vendor information and client books.

Assist with Human Resource concerns and policies to include disciplinary, incident and injury investigations/reports.

Monitor application of ASMG / IATSE Collective Bargaining Agreement, assisting with tracking and documentation of Grievances.

Track and train as needed scheduling and daily labor sign in process for all stagehand labor.

Assist in maintaining inventory controls and determine and document storage locations.

Maintain and oversee that ASMG policies and procedures are adhered to

Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

· Minimum of three years’ experience in supervisory/leadership role

· 3-5 years’ experience in related field

· Minimum High School Diploma or GED, some college coursework preferred

Skills and Abilities:

· Demonstrate excellent communication (verbal and written) and inter-personal skills among all levels of staff and clientele

· Ability to speak, understand, and read standard English

· Work effectively with diverse groups of people among all levels within an organization; skill to work effectively as part of a team

· Perform leadership role and job tasks effectively despite sudden deadlines and changing priorities

· Excellent problem solving and organizational skills

· Ability to work from drawings, specifications and oral requests to achieve desired service/product

· Provide customer service in a professional considerate manner

· Excellent record of dependability and reliability

· Customer Service experience

· Must have dependable transportation. May require a high amount of driving and travel to City locations during events.

Computer Skills:

· Basic computer skills including ability to create word documents and excel spreadsheets

Position requires frequent walking, climbing stairs, standing on cement floors, turning, stooping, bending, crouching, kneeling, reaching, pushing and pulling; may be subject to adverse working conditions; dust, grime, noise, fumes, wet floors etc., including weather; may require use of an electric cart; may require tools and equipment operation that could cause personal harm or injury, if improperly handled; requires irregular and/or extended hours, including weekends, evening, and holidays, determined by event schedule and/or department need; requires radio usage – 2 way hand held.
