Therapist Northwestern College has an opening for a therapist (full-time or part-time) to work in student counseling services beginning in August 2025. Therapy is provided during regular business hours during the academic year (mid-August to mid-May) excluding college breaks. Summers are off. Responsibilities include providing therapy in a professional counseling setting for undergraduate students facing psychological, adjustment and relational concerns. Duties also include providing crisis intervention, education and outreach programming, documentation of confidential client records, and administrative tasks as needed. Position comes with excellent administrative support and professional liability insurance. For full-time role, a full benefits package is included. Qualifications include a master’s degree in clinical or counseling psychology, clinical social work, or marriage and family therapy. Preference given to those with two years of clinical experience (post-graduate). Must possess Iowa licensure or qualify with adequate supervision. Candidates should have a vital and vibrant Christian faith, integrated with their approach to and philosophy of counseling, as well as experience with—and a passion for—college students.
