Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate with Primary Care Physicians (PCPs) as part of the medical team in the primary care environmentProvide routine consultations with providers and brief 15–30-minute assessments and interventions with patients referred from PCPs for same-day warm hand-offs and follow-up careAdminister evidence-based interventions to promote positive health behaviors for overall health and address immediate needs related to psychological healthAssess patient safety and screen for behavioral health disordersProvide clear and concise feedback to providers, describing action plans and establishing plans for follow-upFacilitate integrated patient care by working collaboratively with medical teamsEducate medical teams on identification and treatment of behavioral health concernsSupport referrals to specialty mental health services as neededPromote positive working relationships between medical partners and Burrell Behavioral Health

Education and/or Experience Qualifications:

Must possess at least a Master’s degree in a Human Services field.Must be licensed in Missouri as a Professional Counselor (LPC), a Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Psychologist (PhD/PsyD/LP).Provisional licensure (PLPC, LMSW, or PLP) may be considered.Applicants should have an interest in and/or experience with brief interventions, team-based care, a wide variety of psychiatric, substance abuse and behavioral medicine problems, and diverse populations.
