As the Therapist / Social Worker at Seneca’s Therapeutic Outpatient Program you will be trained to provide individual therapy to youth who are actively being sexually exploited. In addition to therapy, the Therapist / Social Worker will coordinate care, develop safety plans, collaborate with stakeholders, and deliver training on trauma-informed practices for those working with commercially sexually exploited (CSE) youth. Services are primarily community-based, delivered in homes, group homes, foster homes, and schools. The Therapist / Social Worker is also responsible for maintaining proper documentation in compliance with agency, Continuum of Care Reform, and county requirements.

The Therapeutic Outpatient Program (TOP) provides Specialty Mental Health Services (SMHS) that enhance the Contra Costa County continuum of care, ensuring that culturally-responsive mental health services for youth with attachment or permanency-related needs are family-driven and informed by a deep understanding of trauma. TOP is designed to include seamless service continuity, close collaboration and coordination with other existing services within the Contra Costa County system of care, flexible to scale up services over time according to youth, family, and county needs, and the ability to provide services in community setting during flexible hours to promote client engagement and effectively meet their individualized service needs.

Responsibilities Promptly meet with clients and caregivers on a regular basis to further treatment goals utilizing culturally informed and best practice modalities.Coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams for the purpose of care planning and support.Collaborate with agency staff, caregivers, other professionals and interested parties to formulate and implement individual client care plans, behavioral programs, and interventions.Cultivate and maintain relationships with community members and providers, as needed.Complete assessment and evaluation process of clients in order to develop and implement the care plan.Provide assistance in case planning and consultation to team members on clinical issues, as well as casework issues, as appropriate.Chart mental health notes, care plans, outcome measures, incident reports, and other documentation accurately and in a timely manner.Maintain availability for crisis intervention services, such as on-call rotation, if applicable.Participate in individual and/or group supervision. Attend all required trainings.Comply with all child abuse reporting and Medicaid/Medi-Cal requirements in accordance with standards set by Seneca.Maintain strict confidentiality of client and business operations information.Commit to and engage in self-evaluation as well as organizational goals, strategies, and systemic practices regarding diversity, equity and inclusion.Utilize crisis communication and de-escalation techniques as per Seneca's EQ-4 model training. Qualifications

Required:

Master’s degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or marriage and family therapy

Registered with the BBS: ASW, AMFT, APCC, or full licensed 

Flexible schedule with ability to work evenings and weekendsMust be at least 21 years of ageOwn vehicle, Valid California driver's license and insurability with Seneca's automobile policyTB test clearance, fingerprinting clearance, and any other state/federal licensing or certification requirementsMust show proof of COVID-19 vaccination
