Additional responsibilities include ensuring product features achieve cost, schedule, reliability, regulatory and safety goals. **Major Duties:** The main area of focus is on thermal management but this covers a broad range of elements: + Reviewing/studying current video conferencing system-Thermal solution in the market, and understanding each product thermal managements. + Analysis and identify parameters and other aspects of thermal design. + Conducting CFD simulation/ data analysis. + Extensive prototyping based on parameters to validate the output. + Use of measurement and testing equipment, to support output, includes thermal measurement via thermal couple or IR camera etc. **Qualification & Skills:** + Potential candidate should be graduate level with a Mechanical Engineering degree or related major in thermal science and Fluid Mechanics. The higher educated background, the better preferred. + Through understanding of cooling techniques for electronic components and equipment. + In-depth understanding of natural and forced convection cooling. + Must understand the functions and applications of semiconductors, PCBs, component placement, enclosures, and heat sinks. + Experience in conducting CFD simulations utilizing tools such as FloTHERM, Icepack etc. + Ability to design thermal tests and execute per plan within a laboratory environment. + Some experience with 3D MCAD tools such as Pro/ENGINEER. + Experience operating data acquisition equipment. + English communication. **Background/Preferred Qualifications:** + Experience with thermal test equipment including thermal scanners, temperature analyzers and data loggers. + Design/analysis thermal solutions for electronic components and/or systems.
