Thermal Product Manager

Position Overview:

We are looking for an enthusiastic and visionary Thermal Product Manager to take on end to end ownership of our Industrial Burner portfolio, drive innovation and growth, and ensure that our customer needs are met day in and day out.

\n

Honeywell Thermal Solutions serves the global combustion industry and very diverse vertical markets; commercial heating, metals, food, oil, automotive, glass, textiles, and construction. The business has the largest installed base of burners, valves, sensors and controls globally and is serving the industry through distributors, system integrators, OEM’s, and directly to end users. In this role you will be responsible for a portfolio of approximately $40M of industrial burners and own nearly every aspect of portfolio management:  Product, Pricing, Placement, Promotion.  You will work cross functionally across the globe and the business to meet product and business profitability goals.

The Thermal Product Manager is a key role responsible for optimizing and managing the operational aspects of product management. This senior-level position involves overseeing product lifecycle processes, ensuring efficient product operations, and implementing strategies to enhance product performance and operational efficiency. The role requires a deep understanding of product operations, process optimization, and cross-functional collaboration.

Ideal Candidate: 

\n\nStrong operational and project management skills, with experience in managing multiple tasks and projects simultaneously. \n\n\nKnowledge of product lifecycle management, supply chain coordination, and process optimization. \n\n\nAnalytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions. \n\n\nAbility to collaborate with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders. \n\n\nProficiency and experience with operations management tools and software. \n\n\nExperience in vendor and supplier management, with a focus on maintaining strong relationships and ensuring timely delivery. \n\n

Key Responsibilities: 

\n

Operational Oversight: Manage and oversee the day-to-day operational aspects of product management, including product lifecycle management, inventory control, and supply chain coordination. 

\n

Process Optimization: Develop and implement strategies to optimize product operations and streamline processes. Identify opportunities for improvement and lead initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness. 

\n

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with R&D, manufacturing, supply chain, and marketing teams to ensure seamless coordination and execution of product-related activities. Facilitate communication and resolve any operational issues. 

\n

Performance Monitoring: Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) related to product operations. Prepare and present reports on operational performance, trends, and areas for improvement. 

\n

Product Lifecycle Management: Oversee product lifecycle stages, including product introduction, ramp-up, and phase-out. Ensure that product transitions are managed effectively and that operational impacts are minimized. 

\n

Supply Chain Coordination: Coordinate with supply chain and logistics teams to manage product availability, inventory levels, and distribution. Address any supply chain issues and implement solutions to maintain product availability. 

\n

Vendor and Supplier Management: Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely and accurate delivery of materials and components. Evaluate supplier performance and manage relationships to support product operations. 

\n

Quality Assurance: Ensure that product operations meet quality standards and compliance requirements. Address any quality issues and work with relevant teams to implement corrective actions. 

\n

Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation related to product operations. Prepare and present detailed reports on operational performance, process improvements, and strategic recommendations. 

\n

Customer and Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with customers and stakeholders to gather feedback and address operational concerns. Use feedback to drive improvements and enhance customer satisfaction. 

\n

 

Must Have: 

\n3+ years of experience in product operations, supply chain management, or a related role, with a proven track record of managing complex product operations and process optimization. Strong thoughtful and problem-solving skills  Excellent project management and organizational abilities  Proven track record of successfully managing product lifecycles and driving operational efficiency  Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders at all levels Excellent communication and guidance skills\n
