Minimum qualifications:
+ Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, Electrical Engineering, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
+ 2 years of experience in thermal measurement, testing, or reliability testing, or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree.
Preferred qualifications:
+ Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
+ 10 years of experience working with JDM or ODM companies.
+ Understanding of Server System architecture, including physical, functional, logical, mechanical, electrical, software and thermal.
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to coordinate and manage the needs of multiple lab users.

In this role, you will design Google’s proprietary compute, storage, and AI/ML machines to serve both internal data center needs and external cloud customers. As a thermal test engineer, you will ensure the quality and reliability of these designs.
The ML, Systems, & Cloud AI (MSCA) organization at Google designs, implements, and manages the hardware, software, machine learning, and systems infrastructure for all Google services (Search, YouTube, etc.) and Google Cloud. Our end users are Googlers, Cloud customers and the billions of people who use Google services around the world.

+ Collaborate with hardware engineers, hardware test engineers, thermal engineers, and mechanical engineers to define and generate test plans, set up test equipment, configure the DUT test setup, perform thermal tests, and characterize the thermal behavior of the product.
+ Perform thermal simulations to analyze characteristics of the systems or one particular component.
+ Collaborate with JDMs/CMs and coordinate daily operations and maintenance with the thermal chamber lab.
