Job Summary: The Thermoforming Maintenance Automation Coordinator is responsible for leading procurement efforts, sourcing parts, writing capital expenditure (CapEx) requests, managing timelines, and organizing the storeroom and large parts. This role also involves adhering to programs, procedures and compliance efforts at Berry Global. Additionally, the coordinator interacts with vendors, fostering a culture of partnership, safety, and teamwork.

 

 

 

 

 

Responsibilities Safety:Ensure personal safety and safety of fellow employees.Ensure compliance with all applicable EHS directives.Ensure adherence to plant & department safety policies.Maintain a clean inventory area, work area and any activities areas.Leadership and Development:Provide direct leadership for assistant coordinator.Direct inventory activities ensure maximum reliability in inventory availability.Mentor, coach, and assist with training of newer and experienced team members.Ensure compliance with all applicable programs, policies and procedures.Monitor employee performance and address as needed. Communicate relevant information and activity status with department leadership and team members.Address root causes of mistakes and implement corrective actions.Oversee the ISO and Cpro programs for Thermoforming Maintenance Group.Technical Support and Supply Problem-Solving:Problem-solving issues with parts needs, delays, invoices or payments. Track and ensure timely return of machine parts sent out for repair.Inspect and send out pneumatic, hydraulic, electronic, electrical, and mechanical systems for repair.Requisition, procure, and locate parts required for repairs or projects.Research and resolve procurement issues.Assist other departments to resolve disruptions to safety, quality, or production.All other duties as assigned Qualifications Experience in a procurement role.Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively.Commitment to safety and continuous improvement.Strong understanding of maintenance practices.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Proven dependability, reliability, and multitasking abilities.Proven ability to work autonomously and collaboratively.Specific knowledge of manufacturing, mechanical, and inventory.Proficient computer skills.High school diploma or GED equivalent.

Essential Physical Qualifications:                                                                                                                      

Ability to lift up to 35 pounds.Tolerance to work around grease, oils, inks, and solvents.Ability to climb ladders and use necessary tools and equipment for repairs.Capability to stand, walk, bend, or stoop throughout the shift.Good manual dexterity.20/20 vision with correction to detect minor defects.Ability to differentiate colors.
