The 3PL Operations Specialist will support and execute standard operating procedures between Bunzl Retail Services (BRS) and the Third Party Logistics (3PL) Distribution Centers as well as through the support of BRS internal department processes.
The role will provide operational support to BRS associates, 3PL contacts, customers & other outside vendors.  Follow internal procedures to ensure distribution centers adhere to timely & accurate purchase order receipts, outbound orders fulfillment, inventory adjustment requests and billing & accounting for services rendered. Assist the Operations and Logistics Manager/department with other various tasks and projects as needed.

Responsibilities: 

Maintain and document internal and external standard operating procedures. Assist in development of new processes (internal/external). Ensure 3PL service adherence to customer requirements. Field daily inquires from warehouses and transportation partners. Coordinate customer special project requests with appropriate parties. Reconcile 3PL monthly invoices and allocate expenses as needed. Assist with 3PL budget and expense tracking. Ensure timely invoicing by reconciling open orders with appropriate partners. Participate in weekly/monthly conference calls with Operations and Logistics teams. Assist with analysis of operating footprint as needed. Ensure all personnel have resources and systems in place to execute responsibilities properly. Reconcile purchase order receipts and order shipping issues. Assist 3PLs with periodic cycle counts and annual physical inventories. Provide occasional after hours support as needed. Assist with other duties and responsibilities on an as needed basis.

Requirements: 

2 to 3+ years domestic and international logistics experience and or customer service support experience a plus. Ability to interact and communicate clearly and professionally with coworkers, vendors and customers. High level of organization, accuracy, attention to detail and ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Work well under pressure and daily deadlines with strong problem-solving skills Highly motivated and willing to work flexible schedule to accommodate business needs. High level of ownership, accountability, and initiative. Computer proficiency and comfortable learning new computer applications. Knowledge of MS Office and Power Point programs preferred. Assist logistics/operations team with ad hoc customer requests related to volume and financial activity analysis as required. All other tasks deemed necessary by logistics/operations leadership.
